|
- OCHE FEES: first half oche fees are to be paid upfront at the beginning of the league. The second half oche fees are to be paid before the start of the second half (dates and amounts payable for these will be provided by the Committee).
- No registration fee is now applicable to any team in NCDL.
- Ladies Tuesday Format 401 best of three legs, three pairs and two singles (played in that order). Oche fees per team £5.00.
- Men’s Thursday Format 501 best of three legs, two pairs and five singles; Oche fees per team £5.00.
- Mixed Pairs Format 401 best of three legs, five pairs, consisting of one man and one lady per pair. Oche fees per team £5.00.
- The minimum throwing distance shall be 7ft 9¾ inches.
- The matchboard shall be 5ft 8ins from the floor to the bulls centre.
- All players must be over sixteen years of age, and may only play at pub or clubs discretion.
- Reserves can only take part if they are named on the entry form. Each reserve must be paid for.
- All matchboards and lighting must be of an acceptable standard.
- The issue of refreshments by the Home team is optional.
- Any complaint must be made in writing and sent to 46 Caerleon Road, Newport. Verbal complaints will not be investigated.
- All match results must be played for, minimum six players (ladies) or five players (men) per match played.
- Sufficient players must be present prior to the match being allowed to commence. Mixed pairs minimum is three pairs, Ladies Tuesday minimum is three pairs and Men’s Thursday minimum is four singles.
- Closing date for registration is up to half way through the league.
- A player may not transfer from one team to another if he or she has played for one team, unless the whole team drops out of the league
- The WINNING team captain is responsible for the result card being delivered to 46 Caerleon Road, Newport by the Monday following the game played.
- Seven days notice must be given for cancellation of match. League to be notified in writing. There will be a fine of £2.50 for failure to comply
- If a team cancels more than three games without good reason, they will be expelled from the League and all points will be deducted from the half way stage. The defaulters will be fined £2.50. Any team is permitted to cancel up to two games however these games must be played in the free weeks provided. If any games are cancelled in the first half of the season, these must be played in the three free weeks before the commencement of the second half of the season.
- No player is allowed to play in Newport Central Darts League if he or she has played in any other darts league on the same evening. For example, a player cannot play in NCDL on Thursday and compete in any other league on that same Thursday or any other Thursday following this whilst NCDL is still current.
- All matches will commence at 8.30pm. The visiting team is allowed fifteen minutes “open board” from 8.15pm.
- In all matches, throwing order is determined by throwing for the bull
- Markers and shouters are required for each game, one person from each team.
- Away teams must present their names first.
- At least one person from each team must attend the A.G.M; failure to comply may result in being excluded from the League.
- Penalties: For fielding an unregistered player = 2 points deducted and £2.50 fine. For fielding a person under another players name = 5 points and £10.00 fine.
- All games finish when a player hits a double or a bull.
- Male players may not play in Ladies leagues, and vice versa.
- One player may not take the place of a pair (competition or league).
- LADIES TUESDAY ONLY – if only six players then ALL names go into a hat and opposition captain to draw names for the singles.
- Matches must be played on the night stipulated unless permission from the Committee has been given.
- Any player using either foul or abusive language, threatening behaviour or violence towards any other player or committee member may be banned from the league for a period to be determined by a meeting of the full Committee.
- Any unsporting behaviour, likely to cause upset or a distraction to a player could lead to a fine and possible deduction of any points gained.
- Any team failing to pay a fine may be suspended or expelled from the League.
- The Newport Central Darts League reserves the right to refuse any person or team entry to the leagues or competitions without explanations.
- Collection of Trophies: All trophies must be collected on presentation night. A charge of £1.00 per trophy will be payable on any trophy collected following the presentation.
- Any extra trophies that any one team requires must be paid for before the presentation evening. The team will be contacted by the committee to arrange this payment.
- Pub or club trophies are the responsibility of the player who signs for them at the presentation, not the Landlords.
- Only registered players may collect trophies. Players are not permitted to collect trophies, which they have not won.
- No team must postpone more than two matches without the permission of the Committee.
- Licensees, Stewards and their spouses may be registered at any time during the season (if due to change of Licensee).
- There is now a new bonus points system being introduced commencing season April 2010. The winning team will receive an extra two points for a win provided the card is submitted to 46 Caerleon Road, Newport by the Monday following the game played.
